Anak Bos Troika is an elimination card game playable by 2-4 persons. Dubbed by its designer as the anti-UN* game, the number three (and not one) takes the central stage and is used everywhere. Players are expected to remove at least 3 cards on each turn and must draw another 3. The first player who empties their hand, wins.
The cards: 81 object cards and 18 wildcards. Each object card will sport five aspects: a quantity of 1/2/3 objects, object size of Small/Medium/Large, object shape of Square/Circle/Triangle, one of 9 colors, and one of 9 categories.
The rules: players are dealt 9 cards at the start of the game, then take turn discarding match groups or series. A match group is 3 or more cards having the same aspect (e.g. all are red cards, all are Squares, all Medium-sized objects, etc). A series is 6 or more cards each having either unique colors or unique categories. Wildcards can be used to help form a match group/series. Match groups and series must continue from turn to turn, i.e. their bottom-most card must have the same property in one of the aspects as the topmost card on the discard pile.
Winning a game will depend on a bit of luck, but mostly on the ability to quickly recognize patterns.
